As many people know, I am fond of fikas. Fika is a Swedish word that denotes the concept of having a coffee break, often with bakeries or sandwiches. I love to have one in the mid morning and another in the mid afternoon. In dark and chilly winter, the sun often goes down at 3pm, which often makes people feel a bit sleepy. So I love to drink hot cocoa for my second fika of the day. If I am not particularly hungry, a cup of hot cocoa will be enough. Having a warm cocoa in hands, with its rich aroma in the air, such a cozy feeling will make you feel so great, and it also gives you a nice energy boost!

If you prefer flavored cocoa, try add vanilla extract, cinnamon powder or a bit chili if you’re into exotic Mexican style!
